ACC Standorte

Our History

1975

Foundation of TÜV Rheinland Luftfahrttechnik GmbH at Cologne/Bonn airport. The team was mainly focused on small piston engine powered aircraft.

1995

Renamed as AVIATION CENTER COLOGNE Flugzeugwartung GmbH (ACC). This was the beginning of the company’s expansion to what it is today. The first maintenance services were offered to Bombardier Learjet and Challenger Series and in the following years we managed to receive EASA Part 21 Design Organisation, Part 145 Maintenance Organisation and finally Part M Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation approvals.

2009

AVIATION CENTER COLOGNE Flugzeugwartung GmbH merged with COLUMBIA Jet Service GmbH, which had been founded just the same year to become ACC COLUMBIA Jet Service GmbH. As a result the maintenance services could be further extended to IAI Astra / G 100, Gulfstream G 150 and G 200. The newly built Hangar 16 at Hannover Airport went into operation and became ACC COLUMBIA Jet Service GmbH’s second base maintenance facility. In order to cover permanently changing customer needs we succeeded in extending our maintenance approval to Bombardier Global Series and Embraer Legacy 600/650 aircraft.

2012

After the acquisition of the former Flugzeugreparaturen Ralf Kohnen GmbH we established our sheet metal shop called ACC COLUMBIA – Support and since then we are able to offer sheet metal modifications and structural repairs as well as labor assistance for major projects.

2016

As part of our continuous growing network we further extended our services by establishing our Interior Refurbishment shop ACC COLUMBIA – Interior in Erfurt and since then heavy maintenance checks are accompanied by our interior experts and aircraft downtimes are utilized to further improve the aircraft’s appearance.

2018

We received the “Honeywell EMEAI Channel Partner of the Year – Award”.

2020

As part of our continuous growing network we further extended our services by purchasing the sheet metal shop Broken Wings located in Mitterskirchen, Bavaria. The location will be part of our branch ACC COLUMBIA – Support and will further  increase our capacity in sheet metal repairs.

2021

To allow us to focus on our continued growth in aircraft maintenance and repair, we  have agreed to entrust control of our interior refurbishment unit to our long term partner F/List Germany.

GOMOLZIG Aircraft Services GmbH merged with ACC COLUMBIA Jet Service GmbH in December. ACC COLUMBIA – Support has thus gained the new location in Schwelm for sheet metal works and component repairs. Furthermore the acquisition also gives ACC COLUMBIA a wealth of knowledge in the field of design.  Former Design Organization of GOMOLZIG Aircraft Services GmbH will become the new department of ACC COLUMBIA – Design.
